Focus & Scope

Lalibela Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities welcomes original research articles, literature reviews, book reviews, and commentaries, including responses to articles previously published in the Journal. The Journal operates within the broad domains of social sciences and humanities.

LJSSH is an open access, peer-reviewed journal published both in print and online formats. The online version is freely accessible and downloadable. The Journal is published once a year in June.

Publication Frequency: The Journal publishes at least five articles per issue. Special editions may include a higher number of articles depending on circumstances.

The Journal accepts submissions from a wide range of sub-disciplines, including but not limited to sociology, anthropology, history, geography, political science, language studies, linguistics, literature, philosophy, cultural studies, journalism, theatre and art, tourism, education, and interdisciplinary studies.

LJSSH encourages theoretical, empirical, and methodological contributions that promote critical thinking, support social justice, and contribute to the advancement and betterment of society.

Scope: The Journal aims to provide a platform for high-quality scholarly work that addresses contemporary issues and fosters academic dialogue across disciplines.
